The Archdiocese of Brisbane is looking forward to the ordination of deacons Peter Gablonski (33 years) and Jason Middleton (26 years) on Friday 27 June 2008.

As WYD08 (World Youth Day 2008) fast approaches these young men, in living out their calling in life echo the theme for WYD08 “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you will be my witnesses ” (Acts 1:8)

This great occasion in the life of the Brisbane Church will be the culmination of seven years of discernment, study, formation and training by these impressive young men.

Time: 7:30pm
Venue: St Stephen's Cathedral, Elizabeth St Brisbane

Come early and attend Leaven Hour to pray for Peter and Jason and also for those that are discerning a call to priesthood and religious life. Leaven Hour, is held regularly, 5:10pm to 6:30pm in the St Stephen’s Chapel, on the 4th Friday of the month.

Following the ceremony, stay on for ‘the friday night gig’ to celebrate the ordinations of Peter and Jason. The gig will commence at 9:00pm. ‘the friday night gig’ is held regularly, on a bi-monthly basis, in the grounds of the St Stephen’s Cathedral.
